以前は、ChatGPTと対立してばかりいたが、今では筆者が主催する「Well Done Cross-media」（ZOOMセミナー＆オフ会）の英会話教材を共同で作成するほど、密接な関係に発展している。
全体のシナリオや登場人物（ただし、Nishida以外は仮名）は筆者が詳細に設定し、実際に行われたオフ会や勉強会を実例として挙げ、ChatGPTに楽しく面白い和文シナリオを作成させることに決定。
完成した和文シナリオを検証し、違和感ある表現があれば微調整を行い、思い描いたイメージに近づけるようにして、その後、全てをChatGPTに英訳させるのである。
英文シナリオが完成したら、再検証し、日本語で表現したかった内容とのずれがないかを確認し、英文シナリオを教材として研修生に披露することに。
次に、英文シナリオをベースに、選択問題や穴埋め問題などをChatGPTに依頼し、筆者主催の勉強会の英語教材およびテスト問題もが完成する。よって、新たな仕組みと流れが構築されたのである。
更に、英文シナリオについては、Macに搭載されている「読み上げ機能」を活用し、数種の音声で朗読させ、そのデータをリスニング訓練用として活用でき、Facebook非公開グループに掲載することで、研修生はいつでも復習が可能な環境を手に入れることになる。
これまで英会話やその他のICT教材の制作には相当な時間を費やしていたが、今回のChatGPTとのジョイントにより、作成速度が10倍ほど向上したように思えてならない。やはり「文明の利器」は使いこなすに限る！
